Swim Club Rules & Polices
| POOL
RULES |
|
- The pool shall be used by authorized members
and guests when officially opened and lifeguards
are on duty.
- Children under twelve (12) years of age must
be accompanied by a person eighteen (18) years of
age or older for admission to the pool, and that
person must remain with the children during the
entire time they are in the pool.
- Only persons who can demonstrate their swimming
ability to the lifeguards' satisfaction will be
permitted in the deep water and/or diving area.
- Children under four (4) years of age must wear
rubber pants while in the pool.
- Admission will be refused to anyone having communicable
diseases, wearing bandages, or with skin abrasions,
colds, coughs, extremely inflamed eyes, infections,
open sores, excessive sunburn, nasal or ear discharges.
- Spitting or spouting of water and acts of similar
nature are strictly prohibited.
- Smoking is not permitted.
- No running, pushing, wrestling or causing undue
disturbance in or about the pool.
- When weather conditions dictate that the pool
should be closed in the interest of safety, a lifeguard
or manager shall have the authority to effect the
closing.
- The pool will be cleared of all people in the
event of an emergency. The signal to evacuate the
pool shall be three (3) blasts of the lifeguard's
whistle or by the use of some other appropriate
audible alarm.
- Any person may be barred from the pool and/or
lose privileges for violations of pool rules or
for any other reason which constitutes a hazard
to others.
- Chairs may not be reserved. Chairs unused for
more than thirty (30) minutes are subject to reassignment
to others.

| DIVING
AREA RULES |
|
- Only one (1) person at a time is allowed on the
diving board.
- Diving is only permitted after the previous diver
has cleared the area below the board.
- Diving shall be limited to the forward direction
(not off to the sides of the board).
- Excessive bouncing on the board is prohibited.
- Immediately upon surfacing, leave the diving
area so someone else may have the opportunity to
use the diving board.

| SLIDE AREA
RULES |
|
- Only one (1) person at a time is allowed on the
slide.
- No pushing or shoving.
- Before sliding, wait until the are in front of
the slide is clear.
- No sliding head first.
- Do not swim in front of the slide.

| GENERAL POLICIES |
|
- Positively no alcoholic beverages allowed.
- No glass containers of any kind are permitted.
- No pets of any kind are permitted.
- Only members of one household can be included
in family memberships.
- Only adult members (18 years or older) may sign
in guests; they must remain with their guests.
- Children under twelve (12) years of age are not
allowed in the pool without an adult.
- Freestate Swim and Family Activity Center is
not responsible for loss or damage of any personal
valuables.
- Freestate Swim and Family Activity Center reserves
the right to cancel guest privileges at any time.
- Freestate Swim and Family Activity Center assumes
no responsibility for accidents for injuries resulting
from personal negligence.
- Property damages or other expenses arising from
violations of these rules by any member, member's
child or member's guest will be charged to the responsible
member for immediate payment.
